A couple of weeks ago I subscribed to Cigar Magazine for 2 years and got 8 assorted Belicoso Maduro cigars. Two of the sample pack included the Trinidad Maduro Belicoso cigars. I smoked the first one today. I really like this cigar!!!!! It is a well made cigar with a full bodied flavor. It burns very well and has a nice silver white ash. I would even go as far to say it is one ove the best if not the best cigars I ever smoked. I have not recieved my first magazine from my subscription yet and I am already very happy I subscribed to it. I am sure this cigar is expensive but I will have to break down and buy a box for special times. For those of you who have not tried one I highly recomend it!!!!

Thanks for the heads up. I have somewhat purposefully steered clear of the Trinidad line due to the mixed reviews and the pricetag. I guess I have a reason to try the maduro now. I have noticed that many people who didn't like the natural trinidad line think the maduros are pretty good. I guess they got it right this time.

i really enjoy both the naturals and the maduros, in fact this is one of the only cigars that i think the natural version is as good or better than the maduro. but to really enjoy a trinidad it needs to rest for at least six months, if not they tend to be harsh...

Raven are you sure that was the trini maduro? I got the same sampler and mine was a natural(which are quite dark) not the new maduro which are almost black. Just wondering...if they did send you the maduro I'm jealous

The sampler I got had two Trinidad cigars bothe were as dark as the Romeo Y Julieta Maduro. Since it was almost black, well black I assumed it was a maduro. Its much darker than all the other cigars in the sample pack and like I said its the same color and the Romeo Y Julieta Maduro. I went back to the Cigar Magazine web site and pulled up the photo of the sampler I chose and the photo shows a much lighter colored cigar than I got.

I too was generally undwhelmed by the regular Trinidad line and VERY pleasantly surprized by the maduros. Rich, dense and very tasty. Good crisp burn. Still a silly price though. Pmag
