I decided upon trying another Las Vegas Big Smoke cigar that I never had before. Feeling ambitious, I decided upon the Arganese robusto. Seeing several prominent veins that even caused a bump as it traveled under the double bands, I was already thinking of my backup smoke.
I soldiered on, toasted the foot and started taking puffs. I immediately tasted pleasant creamy maduro flavors. The draw was perfect and it gave of plums of smoke. I really began enjoying this cigar and was wondering why these smokes have seemingly been ignored in Doc's Daily Smoke. I continued forth enjoying the consistency and grey ash that that was building with each puff. At about 2 inches and noticing no cracks building, I began entertaining the notion to seeing how much ash I could build on this thing. The flavor was still very good but I noticed the peppery spice started to become more prominent. Quite a surprise for the evening, I certainly was not expecting to enjoy this smoke as I did. Here are a couple pics of the ash.
I purchased several Araganese "striped" cigars as they were rolled at a cigar dinner in September. I was planning on holding them in the humnidor for at least 6 months.
I think I will have to look for one at the B7M to try. Thanks for the review.

I smoked a corona gorda with a silver band. My tobacconist told me it was the Nicaraguan blend, supposedly the fullest in body of the line. It was well made but otherwise unexceptional. Kind of reminded me of a Nicaraguan cigar from the 1990s when most blenders were scared of making too strong a cigar. Just kind of sweet and woody and bland. Supposedly it's well over $10 a pop, which seems crazy to me.
Tonight I am smoking one of the "World's Finest Cigars".
I was sent a couple of samples from the ARGANESE CIGAR CO. by Gene Arganese and tonight I have decided to try the Robusto sized Maduro Presidente.
This is a mild to medium cigar. It burns with a grey ash that seems to want to hold on. After 1-inch the ash plopped right into my lap. At least it held together so I could just brush it away.
The first few puffs are not bad, a complex cigar with flavors of leather.
With 2 bands it requires the bands to be removed as you smoke or lose out on the great flavors that build as the cigar warms.
As I smoked on the flavors intensified with peppery spice noted which I usually find present in a good maduro wrapper.
