wrapper: Ecuadorian
fillers: Nicaraguan, Dominican
Appearance: The appearance of this cigar was kind of rough. There were quite a few veins showing, and there were some rough spots as well. The box press shape however was quite flawless. 9/15
Draw/Burn: The draw was quite firm. However, it produced a lot of smoke for such a tight draw. The burn was pretty even for being in the wind and it being decently windy. At one point though, it got a bit uneven, but soon corrected itself in the wind. Ash was also quite strong and stayed together for about 2.5 inches. Before falling off. If I was not outside it would have went longer. 22/25
Taste: This cigar started out instantly with a nice smooth creaminess and cocoa almost like a dark chocolate. Then as soon as the creamy dark chocolate started to announce its presence, I got what seemed to be a java bean flavor profile. Kind of a chocolate, coffee flavor. Finish was not that bitter. Not terribly complex, but bold and fantastic flavors. 22/25
Overall: This cigar performed very well in the wind. Ash held for a couple inches twice before being blown off the cigar. This cigar never went out, and I never had to retouch it. The flavors were quite bold, and I was drinking warm tea while smoking it. The flavors were the exact opposite of the splenda sweetened tea I was drinking, which probably made them stick out even more. I would love to smoke this cigar again, without wind, with some more age and with a cup of coffee. 32/35
Total Score: 85/100
