Ok, so maybe it didn't taste like cardboard. But the wrapper came undone halfway, by which point the cigar was burning very unevenly and had gone out 5 times. Chucked it with a good two and a half inches and smoked a Padron to wash the taste out of my mouth.
As I stated in the other column: Because it has nice packaging and a hefty price tag most discount it, hoping to show off that they know a real cigar when they smoke one, and they don't need any smoke and mirrors to tell them what's good and what isn't (pun intended). Fact is CAO debuted these a while back at a international competition, completely blank (just titled Cigar #7), and they received rave reviews and a score of 91. This is how they chose what cigar to put in their new humidor box. The cigar is extremely complex, and if it would have come any other way you would have given it more of a chance. But yes too pricey. No argument there. They were meant to be sold by the box. In which case you get a $75 humidor "free", which knocks the price down to around $10 a cigar which is almost right.

If you think those Dog Rockets are complex.I can not imagine what you would think of a Cuban Cigar.I would venture to say that the over load of complexity and pleasure would most likely send you into cardiac arrest.

I'd like to welcome the newest CAO rep to the board!
Please, $10 each for these? Yeah, right. That's more than a PSD4, RASS, BRC, etc.

Yup, apparently I'm a big joke. Yea, I guess you guys are right, and know more and have better taste than international judges and the un-experienced folks at Cigar Aficiando.
Hey shep8228, I've never smoked a CAO Vision, but based on your comments, I want to try one. Although I'm not willing to pay that kind of price, but that's ok, knowing you're a CAO rep, can you just send me a sampler? LOL

Not to big a fan of CAO...I figure CAO stands for Cigar Advertising Organization...good advertising, poor cigars. Just my opinion though, I'm sure many folks enjoy them. I'll take an Oliva Serie V over any CAO any day of the week, much better and cheaper.

After smoking my third vision and after having it sit for a month at 65% humi I liked it much more than the first two I smoked. It was very unremarkable until the final third when the flavor picked up to show good floral notes and an herbal clove note. Draw and burn at 65% was perfect. These cigars were gifted to me so I have to say that I enjoyed that third one. Will I buy them? never. Do they suck? no. Are they good? yes. IMHO.
