I have been wanting to try something from Gurka for a while, and BrendanMOC sent me this massive smoke(thanks again). 6.5 X 54
Here goes:

Appearance/constuction: 13/15
Silky brown wrapper that appears a bit fragile. The cap was pretty nice and cut very clean. The foot hada crack in it, which i attribute to shipping. This cigar was very solid, but not overfilled.

Flavor: 21/25
Prelit draw was smooth with quite a bit of flavor present. This smoke started off creamy with notes of ceder, leather and something a bit like vanilla. This cigar had a very distinct flavor to it that i had a hard time pinpointing, something kind of grassy with a bit of black tea flavor. Like i said, a bit hard to pin down. about 1/2 way through, it got a bit spicier with a little sweetness along with the spice on the finish. The finish on this cigar was short.

Smoking characteristics": 22/25
The draw was firm and produced ample amounts of smoke. The ash was a very nice white that hung on for about 2 inches. It was a bit flakey, but not too bad. The burn was pretty strait, and didnt need any touch-ups. The wrapper was very delicate, and towards the last 2 inches of this smoke, it started to split pretty bad, but i hung in there until about the last inch when it started to get a bit harsh.

Overall Impression: 30/35
This cigar was pretty tasty, i just wish i could have pinpointed the flavor profile a bit better though. It lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. I expected a bit more body out of this cigar for some reason, i thought it to be medium bodied but full flavored. I would probably smoke another one of these, depending on how much i could find if for.

Total score: 86

Nice review. Sorry about the split foot. Thought it was packaged pretty well.

Nice review Jadawin, like the other guys said keep 'em comin. I've been wanting to get back to writing reviews again. I've got a couple smokes resting in the humi that I think I'll review. They're "new to me". Nice review Smile.
