Size: 4 7/8 x 50

Appearance: 8/10 The colorado colored wrapper is very fine with almost no big veins. The cap is solid while the body has a very even construction.

Burn/Draw: 9/10 The draw was just perfect after a straight cut. The burn was also very even throughout. The ash got crooked, but still hung on for a good 2.5 inches before dropping.

Taste: 9/10 There are few finer things than the great aroma a good cigar gives off. This one had it in addition to a soothing flavor on the tastebuds. I wanted to inhale the smoke with every puff! It started off a little spicy with good complexity. Shortly after, the taste of chocolate gradually started to build up until about half way, when it dominates.

Overall: 9/10 After not smoking for a few days, I decided to light up the Epicure after the end of a long week and possibly more work on the weekends. This cigar did not disappoint and lived up to all of my expectations, high expectations I might add. It reminded me of the Regalos but milder and smoother with equal flavor. A great smoke like this should be a cornerstone in any collection!

Thanks Sheep! Knowing you are a veteran smoker, it might not be a 9/10 in your books, but for me it was one of the best I've had. I don't want to jack up your expectations!

very good review bo....

epi#2 is an excellent robusto... it is a 90+ cigar, in every smoker's book.... at least it is in mine....

very creamy and smooth cigar, builds to a nice complexity (although it doesn't over power your taste buds)..very good choice....

Excellent review. Very much reminds me the feelings I had. Exactly, I too got some spice, and later I could feel some cocoa tones, and even very slight coffee flavor, which I found unusual because I thought at least for me one overwhelms the other I cannot feel both together. Near-perfect burn and perfect draw. Certainly going to have more of those.

This is a new cigar for me, but I lit one up recently in my wife's presence. She thought it smelled like burning horse s--t, but in a good way.

It's an excellent smoke - wonderful, incredibly earth aroma and perfect construction.

I'm glad to find this thread because I'm smoking my first Epi #2 ever right now. I bought a pack of three and found one with a split along the face of the cap, so I decided I'd cut it off and smoke it. I'm really glad I did.

This is one ****ing delicious cigar. The build and burn is perfect on this one. It has a great mouth feel, too.

I will say it is slightly young, but I'm impressed with the flavors I'm getting. It's delicious. Did I say that already? Bo, a soothing flavor on the taste buds is dead on. I think I need a more mature example in order to define exactly which dimensions are peeking out, but I do taste the hints of coffee described above, but a mellow, (I hate to say it but almost fruity in a dark, unsweet, way) earthy spice prevails – and with every puff the finish fades to that awesome Cuban tobacco footprint that I always look for. Soothing flavor. Soft exotic spices, like I taste in some of my favorite Balkan pipe tobaccos. I've just let the ash get too long and it fell to my desk top with a soft thud. I want more of these.

Are they banding the SBN and cabinet presentations now, like they are the 3 packs?

Edit: Just after typing the above I've reached the last inch-and-a-half, and the cocoa is really there, and the finish is long and full of liquor, cinnamon(?), and tobacco tang, and yes it's ***ing kind of fruity, I can't hardly believe it. I may have found a new top five cigar here. Easily a 93, even in its youth. 93 all the way.

I’m so happy with this cigar! I would give suggest this cigar to ANYONE who wants to know what Cuban tobacco can really do.

Bo, I am going to have to try these. Your word is good with me. Thank you for helping me with my swelled cigars. I did take my humidification device out. The funny thing is without it my humidity has been between 65% and 67%. Ave. 67%.
