Garbage. A nice looking wrapper and packaging with cut-rate binder and filler. There are better cigars for the money, even in Altadis' own brand portfolio, including Gispert and Saint Luis Rey.
I smoked one of these back in 2000 and thought it was a bit mild and one dimentional.
JR cigars seems to be advertizing it as a new cigar. I guess it didn't have much of a following back in 2000 when I tried it. Maybe the one they are pushing now is a new blend.

It's a new blend but still basically unremarkable. Altadis spent a ton of money buying really nice wrappers (I think either Plasencia or Oliva supplies the leaf) and the cigar looks good but there's nothing much to it -- kind of like a fancy new paint job on a Chevy Cavalier.
I bought a box of them during a recent promo in Tacoma. The cigar has a decent flavor for the price. They could put a little more effort in the construction of the stick for sure! For the $2.20 a stick I'll smoke them during yard work.
Actually saw the ad in the Cigar Magazine I was flipping through today while I was in Barnes and Noble. I was wondering what it would taste like and I haven't seen one yet.

I tried the DaVinci and liked it well enough to order a box. My wife was kind enough to get me box of the Mona Lisas for my birthday. I've enjoyed them. Since they're really not that much, cost wise, why lets someone else's tongue tell you what it tastes like. I'm sure you've spent alot more on a cigar that ended up being rolled up paper bag. There is nothing that will turn off a new smoker faster than paying $15 or more for a crappy cigar. Price does not equal quality.
