hello guys.. i have just bought a box of these (quixote 4.5x50)

now i have had them before, and remembered liking them..I looked at how affordable a box was, and decided to get them for a good everyday cigar (i usually have one in the mid afternoon on my smoke break)

I am continuously suprised of how smoothe these cigars are.. The construction is the best ive seen for a cigar at these prices. I have become pretty picky about my cigars too, which is why im suprised on how good these cigars are and how ive drawn a liking to them as my pallette escalates.

any comments? positive or negative?

I will have to get one of these soon. I have heard they are great for the money as well.

One of the best values out there. I like the Escudero.

I picked one of these up a while back and fell in love with it. I had to pick a box up for the coolidor. Age will nothing but make these things that much better. I'm going for a year but have already broke the box open a couple times. Great cigar for the price.

They have the Quixote size in my shop presently. I may have to try one in one of my upcoming visits, and if I like it enough I'll buy the rest of the opened box. I'll post in here after I have one.

My local cigar shop was actually discontinuing selling these and I grabbed the last two (wooden, I think) boxes in a churchill size, too tired to go look at name (Barcellona maybe?). Two boxes for the price of one and these are very nice, smooth smokes. I have been giving a lot to my dad as I see him as he enjoys the churchill format and I am spoiled by CC's. These make a good golfing smoke too. The larger format (Dominican?) Bolivars are similarly smooth as well.

Well I had one tonight, and I lied I didn't pick up the Quixote like I said I was going to because my shop got a box of Escuderos in. I found the smoke to be very smooth and it burned very well until I got close to then end of the smoke. I think when I tapped some ash off it wasn't quite ready to come off, so it took a bit too much off. Some tunnelling started shortly after, and I decided to let it go out with about two inches left. I found the flavor profile to be chocolate/sweet, probably from the maduro. It's a bit stronger than the Mx2, but I think I like it better, for pretty much half the price. I have a few more of these sitting in my humidor, and I await the day they meet the flame, because for the price this is one damn good smoke. I just might have this be my first box purchase. Oh and to keep my word I will go and try a Quixote as well to see if it is any better or worse than the Escudero. Overall a very pleasing smoke for the price.

I have only had the Quixote and think it is a good size for this cigar, for me. I guess I know what I'm going to have tonight Smile

BigRons, I finally tried the Sancho Panza Double Maduro Quixote.

It was just as everyone says, a great cigar. Great draw, even burn, lots of smoke. One of my favorite maduros.

Good call BigRons. I picked up a Sancho Panza sampler at a shop last week with the Double Maduro, Natural, and X Fuerte. At 6 bucks for the three, this was a steal. The Fuerte was a solid smoke, but the double maduro is something I would definetly consider buying a box of at the low price. Haven't smoked the natural yet, but am expecting it to be solid as well. Thanks for the suggestion BigRons.
