Luckily, smoking this cigar is a lot easier than pronouncing the name.
Appearance and construction 13/15 Beautiful reddish brown wrapper. This cigar has a flattened cap and a slight box press. The clip is perfect. The draw is perfect too. The prelight aroma is banyardy.
Flavor 23/25 HOLY SHEET. Don't let the uniposing size fool ya. This is a flavor bomb. It starts out woodsy and earthy with hints of cocoa, much like a choix. Then it opened up and pounded my tastebuds with cedar, soil, espresso and hints of citrus on a bold and lingering finish. The texture and flavor of this guy are totally unique in my experience. The flavors are sharp and punctuated with a smooth quality about them.
Smoking characteristics 23/25 The smoke volume was insane. I have never seen such a little stick put out so much smoke. There was definitely a bit of strength to this guy too. The peppery finish lingers for a minute or so afterward. The burn was slightly uneven but in all other respects this cigar was very well behaved.
Overall 32/35 The only thing small about this cigar is the size. This little stick was packed with bold flavors and more than its share of power. Choosing this for a breakfast smoke was a mistake IMO. I think this would be much better after a nice meal with a glass of port. Overall, this is one of the better and more unique cubans I have had. I will need to get a few more of these to experiment. I highly recommend this cigar. It kicks major A$$! Don't understimate it because of its size. This is a great cigar.
Overall 91
