Do you mean 1992? If you're a beginner, you may like it, if not you may think it's poo. I've been smoking a while and just about all Rocky Patels are poo to me, with exception to the Decade. Those aren't bad, but not as good as the initial release IMHO.

Rocky's are ok if your a beginner as your palate develops you will find rocky's to change from stick to stick and not for the good. If you are looking for good line of cigars go Padron.

If you like it, smoke it. If you find something you like better, cross that bridge when you come to it. In today's competitive cigar market, with so many great brands, I wouldn't recommend sticking with one brand. Otherwise, you'll be missing out.

I would suggest that you look into the Rocky Patel seconds. They are, in some cases, virtually indistinguishable from firsts.

Others (search the web and you will find a conversion chart of what these are):

The vintage line is a decent smoke. Not terribly remarkable, but pleasant. I actually liked the Sun Grown better, with the Decade being the best of the bunch.

I liked the 1990, the 1992 was ok but I wouldn't buy anymore of them. The 1990 didn't blow my socks off but I enjoyed it enough to buy a few.

I *really* liked the RP olde world reserve maduro Bruce sent me though. That one was quite tasty, good enough that I'll buy some more of them in a robusto size. I have 3 decade torpedoes and a connecticut I haven't tried yet but they are patiently waiting for me in my humidor.

I've never had a rocky patel I've liked. It could be that I don't like Rocky Patel the man.
